Well water safety · Minnesota and parts of Wisconsin
Arsenic has no taste, color or odor, and it occurs naturally in groundwater across Minnesota. A clean-looking glass tells you nothing. We test, then install a system that traps arsenic before it reaches a faucet.

Is this your water?
Arsenic in drinking water causes serious health concerns, and long-term exposure carries risks for families and businesses. Because arsenic has no taste, color or odor, it moves through a home unnoticed until the water is tested. Private wells across Minnesota draw from groundwater where arsenic occurs naturally, which means a clear glass of water tells you nothing about what is in it. Testing identifies the problem, and the right filtration system solves it.
Our filtration systems trap arsenic before it reaches faucets, with solutions that work for every type of property: whole-house media at the point of entry, reverse osmosis at the kitchen sink, high-capacity systems for businesses and large households, and cartridge units for simple upkeep. Each installation delivers long-term results with minimal maintenance.
Providing safe drinking water is our top priority, and we guide customers throughout Minnesota toward the best option for their water and their budget. We cannot give health advice; for that, talk to your doctor or the Minnesota Department of Health. What we can do is test your water and size the right system.
What we install
Specialized media pulls arsenic out of the supply as it enters the property, before it reaches any tap, shower or appliance. For households that want protection at every fixture, not just the kitchen.
Mounted under the sink, treating water at the point of use. The membrane separates arsenic and other dissolved contaminants before the water reaches cups, pots and food preparation. Safe drinking and cooking water with no changes to the main plumbing.
Commercial properties, apartment buildings and large households need powerful filtration. High-capacity systems handle large volumes so every faucet delivers clean water.
Replaceable cartridges trap arsenic and other impurities. Regular cartridge changes keep the system efficient without complex maintenance.

How it works
Nothing on our list is a one-size quote. Every system is sized from what is actually in your water.
Common questions
Quick answers to the questions we hear on the phone. If you would rather just talk it through, call us; we test your water before quoting anything.
Only a water test shows it. We test before recommending anything, and we can also work from a recent county or inspection result.
If the concern is drinking and cooking water, an under-sink RO is the simplest fix. If you want every fixture protected, whole-house media at the point of entry. The test result and your household decide.
No. We are a water treatment company, not a medical one. For health questions talk to your doctor or the Minnesota Department of Health; we handle the testing and the filtration.
Whole-house systems are quoted after the test, because media and sizing depend on the arsenic level. Under-sink RO starts at $1,150 installed.
RO filters are changed once a year. Whole-house media is checked annually and replaced when the test says it is time.

What neighbors across the Twin Cities say after we leave.
Tony came out to do an assessment when our old water softener quit working. He did a water test and provided some recommendations and options for new equipment. He was able to install the new equipment within days of us deciding which route we wanted to go. Great service and great prices!
We had Taplin install a water softener a couple years ago. They were so great we had them back for a filter this year. Tony was clear on communication, super fast to schedule and quick on install. He even answered all my questions before and after the fact. Products are easy, 0 maintenance. Go with Taplin, they're great!
Talk about customer first! Knowledgeable, fast, and genuinely committed to doing things right. Fair pricing and exceptional service. Couldn't be happier with my water softener install. So glad I found them! Highly highly recommend.
After much research on local companies we decided to go with Taplin Water and I'm very glad we did. Taplin is a family owned business and Tony is a very stand up guy. It literally took him about 30-45 minutes to install an iron filter.
Other services
Most well-water homes need a softener and an iron filter together; most city-water homes pair a softener with carbon.
