About Taplin Water

It began with one man and one dream.

Three softeners, no customers, and a bet on the northwest suburbs in 1987. 39 years later, thousands of homes from Fargo to Farmington run on a Taplin system.

Rick Taplin built the company through sheer hard work; in 2024 he retired and his son Tony took over as second-generation owner. It is still the family answering the phone, and the owner on every job.
